SUBPAR Operational Pause

As we have recounted numerous times before, SUBPAR started as a way to blow off some steam while we were underway on the USS [REDACTED]. It morphed into this blog as we looked for a way to stay in touch on our shore tours, share some laughs and help submariners stay sane during their sea tours.

Writing SUBPAR for the last 2.5 years has been incredible, but recently our motivation to write has waned. We have decided to take an operational pause for an undecided amount of time while we figure out what the future of The Subpar Group looks like.

When we didn’t feel like writing an article about the astronauts’ extension letter coming after a surf and turf dinner, we knew that we needed a break.

Our lack of motivation is probably some combination of how long it has been since we’ve been stationed on a submarine (it really does get better after ORSE), new jobs, and new hobbies. One thing is certain though, this is not a goodbye from The Subpar Group, just an EMCON period.

We’ll be pausing any subscription payments in the meantime.
