Submarine LT Sets Guinness World Record for Longest Time Waiting to Log On to a Government Computer
San Diego, CA - A Submarine JO recently set a Guinness World Record for longest time spent waiting to log on to a government computer - with 840 hours, 38 minutes, and 8 seconds, passing the previous world record of 76 hours, 34 minutes and 53 seconds.
It all started when Jennifer Sampson, formerly of the USS Indiana, attempted to log onto an NMCI computer to update her NFAAS. After inserting her CAC and typing in her six digit pin at 120915RNOV23, Sampson was met with a loading symbol that would not stop for more than 35 days.
Fearful that removing her CAC would only force her to restart the process, Sampson received rides to and from base for more than a month. Around week three of waiting Sampson consulted the command IT1 who told her, “These things take time, Ma’am. You need to wait a little longer.”
The streak finally ended when Sampson was terminated with a Other than Honorable Discharge for failing to update her NFAAS and was forced to turn in her CAC.
The Subpar Group is looking to hire a Qualified Social Media operator to run a Facebook/Instagram for us. We’re good at a lot of things here, but social media is not one of them. So, if you think you possess the necessary qualifications, want to make a little extra money (emphasis on the little part), and become a part of the SUBPAR team email us at thesubpargroup@gmail.com.
